Free Abrego Rally At White House - Washington

People attend a rally to free Kilmar Abrego Garcia at Lafayette Park near the White House in Washington, D.C. on May 1, 2025. Garcia, a citizen of El Salvador who was legally residing in the United States on 'withholding of removal status', was illegally deported from the United States on March 15, 2025, despite never having been convicted of a crime, and is currently being held in the Center for Terrorism Confinement (CECOT), a maximum-security prison in El Salvador which has numerous human rights violations allegations against it.
